The history of the Guarnicionería Gómez

The Guarnicionería (saddlery) Gómez is a family business with a long tradition and over 100 years of history. In Arzuá, a small town in the north of Spain and one of the last stops on the Way of St. James before Santiago de Compostela, Gómez has been developing and producing equipment for Iberian equestrian sports since 1909. The company values of Gómez also reflect the recipe for success with which Gómez has managed to establish itself as a strong brand in the equestrian scene. With a healthy mixture of tradition and innovation, high-quality products are created with painstaking craftsmanship that inspire riders throughout Spain and Portugal.

Bridles, cavessons and girths for the Iberian riding style

Gómez mainly produces leather products for the classical Iberian riding styles. These include the Alta Escuela, the Iberian High School and the Doma Vaquera. The latter is a working riding style that is closely linked to cattle breeding and has also established itself as a tournament discipline in Germany.
