Baroque Curb Bits
Baroque curbs at Picadera
The baroque curb bit works like a classic curb bit over the horse's tongue, cheek and poll. It is combined with a chin chain that lies flat in the horse's chin pit.
Baroque S-curbs
A baroque S-curb bit is usually a little more playful than a classic curb bit. The curb bit trees are curved like an S and often have a pretty appliqué. Combined with a beautiful bridle, the equipment becomes a real eye-catcher. The FLORAL baroque curb bit is ridden bare, i.e. without a snaffle bit and with just one pair of reins. It has a chic gold-colored flower appliqué and S-curved curb trees. It is available in pure stainless steel or burnished iron and in a combination. In the combination, the mouthpiece is made of stainless steel and the sides are made of burnished iron. Riders who prefer a rust-free bit can choose this variant. But the noble rust, which forms through natural oxidation processes, also has advantages: it stimulates the horse's salivation. The FLORAL baroque curb bit is available with a small tongue clearance to relieve the middle of the tongue or for a more even pressure distribution as a Mullen Mouth variant, which is also suitable for horses with thicker tongues.
Portuguese Baroque curbs
These curbs do not have S-trees. The Portuguese curb bit BALAO is a pump curb bit that has a positive effect on the horse's mouth activity by rocking up and down and ensures relaxation. The curb bit is traditionally available in gold and silver colored brass. The bit can be combined with a snaffle or ridden bare with one or two reins. This offers a good alternative to the combined curb bit for horses with a short mouth gap and little space in the mouth.
