Mosqueros
Mosqueros – more than just a bridle decoration
Mosqueros are a typical accessory in Spanish riding. They consist of several tassels, also called borlas. But mosqueros are not just used as stylish bridle decorations. They have two other advantages. For example, they keep annoying flies away from the horse's head. Since mosqueros swing with every step the horse takes, they can be used as a help. As a pendulum, they show whether the horse is consistently running in time. The purer the rhythm, the more evenly the mosquero swings.
The Mosqueros at Picadera are available in three different versions in different colors. There are models with 20 and 25 borlas in the colors cream, brown, black, red and yellow. The leather edition is available in black and brown.
All models have two leather straps on the back to attach them to the bridle. The VAQUERO browband also fits this.
