Baucher bit with Mullen Mouth bar made of stainless steel
Baucher bit made of stainless steel with a straight, slightly forward-curved Mullen Mouth / Mullmouth bar mouthpiece. Bit thickness 16 mm (actually measured 15 mm). The upper bars are slightly curved outwards to ensure an optimal fit.

Effect of the Baucher Bar
The bridle is fastened using the short upper bars. In combination with the unbroken bar, the Baucher bit sits very quietly and stably in the mouth. Many horses like the Mullen Mouth bar mouthpiece because it sits very evenly on the tongue and is cushioned by it.
The Baucher bit has no leverage due to the lack of a lower bar and is used without a chin chain. When the reins are pulled, the Baucher bar moves more towards the corner of the mouth and has an effect there. This has an uprighting effect on many horses.
The right size for the Baucher bit
Under "Size Guide" (see above) you will find the actual dimensions of the Mullen Mouth mouthpiece. If you are unsure, we recommend that you compare the actual dimensions of your existing bit with those of the Baucher bit to find the right size. Please note that the side parts should fit tightly to the corners of your horse's mouth. If your horse is undecided between two sizes, we recommend that you choose the smaller size for this model.
