Baucher bit with thin bar mouthpiece
Baucher bit from the FINE LINE collection with a particularly thin, slightly curved bar mouthpiece. Bit thickness 14 mm. The upper bars are slightly curved outwards to ensure an optimal fit.

Effect of the Baucher Bar
The bridle is fastened using the short upper bars. In combination with the unbroken bar, the Baucher bit sits very quietly and stably in the mouth. The particularly thin FINE LINE bar mouthpiece is suitable for all horses with little space in the mouth and/or a short mouth gap.
The Baucher bit has no leverage due to the lack of a lower bar and is used without a chin chain. When the reins are pulled, the Baucher bar moves more towards the corner of the mouth and has an effect there. This has an uprighting effect on many horses.
The right size for the Baucher bit

If you are unsure, we recommend that you compare the actual dimensions of your existing bit with those of the Baucher bit to find the right size. Please note that the side parts should fit tightly to the corners of your horse's mouth.

Top product. I've tried so many bits. It was always a struggle and I'd almost given up with my Spanish horse. My horse was more content and relaxed this weekend than he ever felt before. No attempts to lift his tongue over the bit, no going against my hand... amazing. I really didn't expect that. If I hadn't sat on it, I wouldn't believe it. I hope it continues like this and that this isn't just a snapshot because it's a new and unfamiliar bit. So far I can only recommend it, especially for horses that are really sensitive around the mouth and have problems with normal bits.
Our Haflinger mare had problems with single and double-jointed bits and always pushed her tongue over the bit. It only got better with a soft bar, but not good. We then tried a soft bar with a tongue arch and the tongue stayed under the bit. The soft bar was quite thick, however. Since our mare has a narrow mouth and a fleshy tongue, Johanna Probst/proross.de recommended the Baucher Bit Fine Line Bar.
After some initial hesitation, our mare happily accepted the bit after just three days. We are very satisfied and can highly recommend it.
