Baroque curb bit in Portuguese style
Whether for a show, tournament or everyday training - with a leather width of just 15 mm, this stylish, high-quality bridle makes the horse's head look particularly elegant. The curved Cortesia buckles of the curb bridle set effective accents on the otherwise simple headpiece. The noseband is guided securely in a separate loop integrated in the cheek piece.
The second bit is attached using an additional underbelt. The fastening of the bits can be chosen freely, depending on the height at which the noseband is desired. For a slightly lower fit of the noseband on the horse's head, the curb bit is fastened to the bit strap pair with noseband. For a higher fit of the noseband, the curb bit can be fastened to the underbelt.
The delivery includes two pairs of smooth leather reins without bars, which are therefore also suitable for classic work on the hand. The snaffle reins have a Cortesia buckle in the middle and are divisible. The curb reins have a sliding leather loop and are sewn in the middle with a subtle decorative seam that overlaps.
The Baroque bridle is handmade by Gómez in Spain. Made from black, vegetable-tanned cowhide with silver-colored Cortesia buckles.
Many functions in one bridle
The underbelly of the curb bridle can be easily removed. This means that the bridle can also be used with just one bit, e.g. as a snaffle bridle or with a plain curb. For full flexibility, depending on the requirements of the horse's training. The underbelly can be used separately as a semi-bridle - for a particularly minimalist look on the horse's head.
Size & fit of the CORELLI bridle
The curb bit is made in the Iberian standard size - perfect for the long and narrow heads of the Iberian breeds, such as PRE, Andalusians or Lusitanos. Thanks to the large adjustment range of the cheek pieces, in our experience it fits most horses with VB to WB heads. The length of the non-adjustable straps, such as the browband, can be found in our size guide (see above).
