Baroque hemp rope for ground work

Light and dimensionally stable ground work rope made of hemp in excellent, hand-sewn quality. With its length of 6 meters, it is suitable as a short lunge for lunging with the cavesson close to the horse, as well as for ground work at a slightly greater distance than with a conventional ground work rope.

The hemp rope is equipped with a leather buckle for particularly fine communication. This makes it very easy to attach it to the cavesson or halter and is particularly suitable for sensitive horses that react to the weight of a snap hook. This enables particularly fine aids to be given. In addition, unlike a snap hook, the buckle cannot leave any marks on the noseband of the cavesson. And if a snap hook is needed, it can simply be attached to the leather buckle.

The end of the hemp rope is covered with leather over a length of 10 cm to match the buckle.

Hemp ropes do not offer the same color selection as ground work ropes made of synthetic fibers. However, they combine some outstanding properties that make them a practical companion in the stable and on the riding arena. Hemp is therefore rightly experiencing a true renaissance. Ground work ropes and lunge lines made of hemp are particularly durable and resilient. Since they absorb less water than cotton, for example, they retain their grip even when lunging in the rain.

And even if the horse gets high-spirited on the lunge, the hemp rope will still serve you well: as it is flame-retardant, it generates less heat than synthetic ground work ropes when the hemp rope is pulled through the hands with a jerk. This reduces the risk of blisters.

Compared to the natural material cotton, hemp is more abrasion-resistant and is more sustainable to grow. A hemp field produces three times more yield than cotton grown on an identical area. Cotton also uses a lot more water to grow. Ground work ropes and lunges made of synthetic fiber, on the other hand, cannot be composted and require chemicals to produce.
