Effect of the denture
The elaborately crafted, movable side parts of the Vaquero Kimblewick offer a variety of fastening options for the reins. Depending on your preference, the bar effect - similar to a Baucher bar - or the leverage effect can be emphasized. It is also possible to use it with two pairs of reins. This makes the Vaquero Kimblewick particularly suitable for the transition from a bridle to a curb bit.
In addition, this bit offers the possibility of attaching another ring to the lower bar for rein attachment (as is usual with Spanish curbs). You can find the matching VAQUERO rein attachment at our Bit Accessories.
Many horses like the bar mouthpiece because it sits more evenly and calmly on the tongue than a snaffle bit. The small tongue clearance relieves pressure on the middle of the tongue, making the Kimblewick suitable for horses with a normal to fleshy tongue.

If you are unsure, we recommend that you compare the actual dimensions of your existing bit with those of our mouthpiece to find the right size. Please note that the sides of the Kimblewick should fit tightly to the corners of your horse's mouth.
