Kimblewick rod made of stainless steel
Uxeter Kimblewick or jumping curb bit made of stainless steel with a solid bar mouthpiece with a small tongue clearance. Bit thickness 14 mm.
Many horses like the bar mouthpiece because it sits evenly on the tongue and is cushioned by it. The small amount of tongue space in the bit relieves pressure on the middle of the tongue.
The delivery includes a curb chain. It is advisable to check the angle of the curb chain hooks before using the Kimblewick for the first time. Depending on the horse's anatomy, it may be necessary to bend them slightly with pliers so that the open side of the hooks does not touch the horse when taking the reins.

Effect of the denture
A special feature of the Uxeter Kimblewick is that the D-rings of the bit also have two slots for attaching the reins. This allows the bar effect or the leverage effect of the bit to be emphasised as desired. The reins can also be attached to the D-ring so that they can move flexibly in the ring. This results in a flexible effect: if the horse is over the reins, the reins slide further down in the D-ring and the leverage effect is increased. If the horse places its head in a position that is too low, the reins slide further up and reinforces the snaffle effect of the Kimblewick. The bit thus makes it easier to correct the horse's head and neck position.
