Baroque Curb Bits at Picadera

The baroque curb bit acts like a classic Curb Bit over the horse's tongue, ark and neck. It is combined with a curb chain that lies flat in the horse's chin groove.

Baroque S-Curb Bits

A baroque S-Curb Bit is usually a bit more playful than a classical Curb Bit. The curb bit trees are curved like an S and often have a pretty application. Combined with a nice bridle, the equipment becomes a real eye-catcher. The baroque curb bit FLORAL is ridden bare, i.e. without bradoon and with only one pair of reins. It has a fancy gold-colored flower application and S-curved curb bit trees. It is available in pure stainless steel or burnished iron and in a combination. In the combination, the mouthpiece is stainless steel and the side pieces is burnished iron. Riders* who prefer a stainless bit can go for this variant. However, the precious rust, which is formed by natural oxidation processes, also has advantages: it stimulates the horse's salivation. The baroque curb bit FLORAL is available with a small port for relief of the middle of the tongue or for a more even distribution of pressure as Mullen Mouth variant, which is also suitable for horses with thicker tongues.

Portuguese Baroque Curb Bits

These curb bits do not have S-trees. The Portuguese Curb Bit BALAO is a Sliding Cheek Curb Bit, which positively influences the horse's mouth activity by bobbing up and down and provides relaxation. Traditionally, the Curb Bit is available in gold and silver brass. The bit can be combined with bradoon or ridden bare with one or two reins. This offers a good alternative to the combined Curb Bit for horses with short mouth gaps and little space in the mouth.
