Snaffle Bits
Probably the best known bit is the single broken bit. It has a joint in the middle, which acts on the lower jaw when the reins are pulled over the edges of the tongue.

The best known variant is the loose ring snaffle bit, whose rings can rotate and slide along the sides of the mouthpiece. The loose ring snaffle bit VAQUERO is available in stainless steel and burnished iron. The sweet-iron effect is created by the natural oxidation processes. Precious rust is formed, which stimulates the horse's salivation. The stainless steel bradoon VAQUERO acts like a loose ring snaffle bit and is combined with a Curb Bit . The bradoon has smaller rings than the classic loose ring snaffle bit, so that the rings do not collide so easily with the side parts of the Curb Bit .
Thigh snaffles put pressure on the tongue and the loading. The thighs ensure that the bit lies better at the corners of the mouth, allowing a softer lead. The sideways effect of the side pieces makes it easier to work out position and bend. Rein aids can thus be made more understandable. Another advantage of the full cheek snaffle bit is that the bit cannot be pulled through the mouth.
The Kimblewick bridle at Picadera is a simple snaffle bit with D-rings. However, the mouthpiece is not installed in the middle of the side pieces , but further up. If the horse takes the head too high, the rein slides down and the bit develops a small leverage effect like a Curb Bit. If the horse's head is too low, the rein slides up along the D-rings and the single broken bit acts like a single snaffle Baucher Bit .
The side pieces of the belly bit are B-shaped. The mouthpiece lies particularly calmly in the mouth, since it is fastened over the short upper trees to the bridle. This buckling also allows for lateral positioning. Another advantage is that the Baucher Bit does not sag downwards, as is common with other single-break bits. This makes it well suited for horses with short mouth gaps. The Baucher Bit has no leverage because it has no lower tree and therefore lacks the counter lever. Therefore, the Baucher Bit is also ridden without curb chain and does not act on the neck. At Picadera there are the single broken Baucher Bits VAQUERO with flat sides made of stainless steel and burnished iron. The Baucher bit INGLES has a lower bit strength and classic English, so rounded, side pieces.
