Baroque snaffles

Portuguese style baroque bridle

At a show or tournament, every rider would like to present his or her horse as favourably as possible. Portuguese-style baroque bridles are ideal for this because they are decorative but not too overloaded. Those who don't want to miss that little bit extra at home will also find something suitable here. The elegant, narrow straps and ornate Cortesia buckles remind us of the splendid times of Baroque. They particularly bring out the typey, large heads of the Lusitanos and the dry profile of the Pura Raza Espanola. Baroque bridles also look elegant and decorative on any other horse's head. They can usually be adapted to any Cob- and Full without any problems.

Colors and fit

All models can be ridden with a snaffle with one pair of reins, or with a curb bit - either one-handed or with two pairs of reins. As is traditionally Iberian, the noseband is guided in a loop in the cheek piece. This also allows it to be easily removed if necessary. Any combination of silver or gold buckles and the leather colours natural, dark brown and black is possible - so the individually matching colour combination to the saddle and other equipment can be chosen.

Baroque Bridle CORELLI

If you like to ride Portuguese style, the CORELLI model is the right choice: the riders of the Portuguese Riding School in Lisbon use these bridles to decorate their Alter Real stallions for performances. The particularly narrow straps are stitched in white and, together with the typical Cortesia buckles, make this baroque bridle a real eye-catcher. The bridle gets its noble look from the high-quality workmanship of the leather. The matching leather reins have a smooth surface so that they glide easily through the hand and do not stop. The reins are also equipped with Cortesia buckles that match the bridle . They are also suitable for in-hand work.

Baroque bridle CHARPENTIER

If this is too plain for you, you might prefer the bridle CHARPENTIER, which in addition to the decorative Cortesia buckles has matching fittings and an ornate rosette on the browband. The rosette is removable. Despite its ornamentation, this baroque bridle does not look overloaded, but makes the horse's head look elegant. This bridle is definitely an eye-catcher. The leather reins that match the bridle complete the overall look. This model also features an adjustable throat lash on both sides and a wide, slightly anatomically shaped headpiece.
