Spanish baby curb bit with Mullen Mouth mouthpiece made of iron

Vaquero Curb Bit made of black burnished iron with rigid Mullen Mouth mouthpiece and foam stirrup. Thanks to the 1:1 side piece ratio, this Curb Bit has minimal leverage, is stable in the horse's mouth and is therefore also suitable as a training curb bit. An additional pair of reins can be buckled into the curb bit eye, so that it can also be used with two pairs of reins - for example to slowly transition to one-handed riding.

The anatomically shaped Mullen Mouth ported mouthpiece optimized by Lopez is readily accepted by many horses, as it lies very evenly on the tongue and is cushioned by it. Horses with very thick and fleshy tongues in particular benefit from the full-length curved mouthpiece. The burnished iron stimulates salivation through natural oxidation processes and the formation of noble rust.

The foam stirrup at the end of the shanks ensures that very mouth-active horses cannot catch the reins with their lips. It also prevents the reins from getting caught in the lower bars. The foam stirrup stabilizes the entire bit and gives it great balance - for precise action and a calm position.

Care instructions for burnished iron

Rust forms on traditional, burnished products or product components after some time. This is caused by natural oxidation processes and is not a quality defect, but an essential and desired characteristic of this material. To maintain the dark color, it is advisable to occasionally rub the affected parts with a cloth soaked in olive oil.
