Spanish baby curb bit with iron Mullen Mouth mouthpiece
Vaquero Curb Bit made of black burnished iron with rigid Mullen Mouth mouthpiece and foam stirrup. Due to the 1:1 side piece ratio, this Curb Bit has minimal leverage, lies stably in the horse's mouth and is therefore also suitable as a training curb bit. Another pair of reins can be buckled into the curb eye, so that it can also be used with two pairs of reins - for example, for slow conversion to one-handed riding.
The Lopez optimized and anatomically shaped Mullen Mouth ported mouthpiece is readily accepted by many horses because it lies very evenly on the tongue and is cushioned by it. In particular, horses with very thick and fleshy tongues benefit from the curved over the entire length mouthpiece. Through natural oxidation processes and the formation of noble rust, the burnished iron stimulates salivation.
The foam stirrup at the end of the shanks ensures that very mouth-active horses cannot catch the reins with their lips. It also prevents the reins from getting caught in the lower trees. The foam stirrup stabilizes the entire bit and gives it great balance - for precise action and a calm position.
The baby Curb Bit is made in Spain.

Care instructions for burnished iron
Rust forms on traditional burnished products or product components after some time. This is due to natural oxidation processes and is not a quality defect, but an essential and desired characteristic of this material. To maintain the dark color, it is recommended to occasionally rub the parts concerned with a cloth soaked in olive oil.

The more than 160-year history of Frenería y Romanas López
Frenería y Romanas López is a handicraft business founded in 1850 and based in Cortegana, Andalusia. The town is known for its many traditional handicraft businesses, which mainly serve the agricultural production in the region. For example, the ancestors of the current owners, bits and spurs already supplied local riders.
At López, the love of craftsmanship and the secrets of producing high-quality metal goods have been passed down from father to son for five generations.
