Baucher bit Made of stainless steel with flat sides
Baucher Stainless steel snaffle with single-broken, solid mouthpiece. With flat side pieces in Spanish style. Bit thickness 13 mm. The Baucher bit is manufactured by Lopez in Spain. For horses with sensitive mouth angles, we recommend the use of bit guards made of rubber, as is usual with Iberian curbs or Pelhalms.

Effect of the Baucher bit
The bridle is buckled via the short upper bars. This means that the Baucher bit is more stable in the mouth, offers lateral adjustment via the pressure on the horse's cheek and sags less than other bridles bits. Even when chewing, it can only be moved minimally in the direction of the incisors. When used as a bradoon in combination with a curb bit, this makes it easier to avoid a collision between the two bit in the mouth - an advantage especially for horses with a short mouth gap. The slight play at the connection between mouthpiece and upper jaws also promotes chewing activity.
The Baucher bit is used without curb chain and has no leverage. Instead, the bit moves more towards the corner of the mouth when the reins are pulled and has an effect there. This results in a straightening effect for many horses.
