Baroque Portuguese style double bridle

Whether for shows, competitions or everyday training - with a leather width of just 15 mm, this stylish, high-quality bridle makes the horse's head look particularly elegant. The curved Cortesia buckles on the double bridle set effective accents on the otherwise simple headpiece. The noseband is securely guided in a separate loop integrated in the cheek piece .

The second bit is attached via an additional crownpiece with cheekpiece. The buckling of the bits can be freely selected depending on the desired height of the noseband. For a slightly lower fit of the noseband on the horse's head, the Curb Bit is buckled to the pair of bit straps with noseband . For a higher fit of the noseband, the Curb Bit can be buckled to the crownpiece with cheekpiece .

The delivery includes two pairs of smooth leather reins without bars, which are therefore also suitable for the classic in-hand work . The snaffle reins have a Cortesia buckle in the middle and can be divided. The leather curb reins are equipped with a sliding leather loop and are stitched in the middle with a discreet overlapping decorative seam.

The Baroque double bridle is handmade by Gómez in Spain. Made from black, vegetable-tanned cowhide with silver-colored cortesia buckles.

Many functions in one bridle

The crownpiece with cheekpiece of the double bridle can be easily removed. This means that the bridle can also be used with just one bit, e.g. as a snaffle bridle or with a bare Curb Bit. For complete flexibility, depending on the horse's training requirements. The crownpiece with cheekpiece can be used separately as a semi bridle - for a particularly minimalist look on the horse's head.

Size & fit of the CORELLI double bridle

The double bridle is manufactured in the Iberian one size fits all - perfect for the long and narrow heads of Iberian breeds such as PRE, Andalusian horse or Lusitanos. Due to the wide adjustment range of the cheek pieces , in our experience it fits most horses with Cob to Full heads.
