Sliding Cheek Curb Bit with low port stainless steel

High quality Sliding Cheek Curb Bit stainless steel with English style sides. The vertical play of the mouthpiece promotes the chewing activity of the horse. This facilitates the loosening of the jaw, nape and thus the entire horse's back. The ported mouthpiece with low port relieves the middle of the tongue, making the bit suitable for horses with normal to fleshy tongues.

Effect & use of the bit

Compared to the classic Curb Bit with fixed side pieces, the Sliding Cheek Curb Bit develops its effect somewhat delayed: when accepting the reins, the mouthpiece first slides upwards before the effect on the mouth, lower jaw and neck begins. The sliding cheek allows the horse to move the mouthpiece up and down rhythmically. This helps muzzled horses and horses with very little mouth activity to relax the jaw better. This also loosens the neck and ultimately the entire body of the horse more easily.

The Sliding Cheek Curb Bit can be used both blank and in combination with a bradoon .

The right size for the Curb Bit

Under "Size Guide" (see above) you will find the real dimensions of the mouthpiece. Please note that the side pieces the Curb Bit close to the corners of your horse's mouth. If your horse is between two sizes, we recommend that you choose the smaller size for this model.
