Reduced to the essentials and with a narrow leather width of 15 mm, the semi bridle ensures a particularly minimalist look on the horse's head. With curved Cortesia buckles to accentuate the simple headpiece.
The semi bridle is used particularly in academic horsemanship. It can also be used as an crownpiece with cheekpiece , e.g. to extend an existing snaffle bridle into a double bridle. The semi bridle is also perfect for additionally buckling in a bit during cavesson work.
The baroque semi bridle is handmade in Spain. Made of brown, vegetable-tanned cowhide with gold-coloured cortesia buckles.

Gómez
The history of Guarnicionería Gómez
Guarnicionería (saddlery) Gómez is a family business with a long tradition and over 100 years of history. In Arzuá, a small town in the north of Spain and one of the last stages of the Way of St. James before Santiago de Compostela, Gómez has been developing and producing equipment for Iberian riders since 1909. The corporate values of Gómez also reflect the recipe for success with which Gómez has managed to establish itself as a strong brand in the equestrian scene. With a healthy mix of tradition and innovation, high-quality products are created with painstaking craftsmanship, which inspire riders throughout Spain and Portugal.
Bridles, cavessons and girths for the Iberian riding style
Gómez mainly produces leather products for the classic Iberian riding styles. These include the Alta Escuela, the Iberian High School and the Doma Vaquera. The latter is a working riding style that is closely linked to cattle breeding and has also established itself as a competition discipline in Germany.
At Picadera you will find selected leather goods produced by Gómez in Spain, such as bridles, cavessons, cavessons, halters, girths, Stirrups- and spur straps. Gómez products all use high-quality cowhide from Spanish production.
The color is completely different than in the pictures (no SLIGHT color deviation) - in reality it is deep orange and not brown. Technically certainly okay, but unfortunately not my cup of tea. The material doesn't look very high quality, especially because of the color, even though I am convinced that it is a high quality product. The seams were finished with white thread - a matter of taste.

Dear Verena, thank you for taking the time to rate semi bridle . Please send us a photo of the delivered item to [email protected] so that we can clarify whether you may have received the wrong color. The semi bridle should actually be a reddish brown color. As with all brown leather products, the exact shade may vary slightly as it is a natural material. However, it should not be orange. The white contrasting seams are indeed typical of saddlery from Spain and are not visible from the outside of this product. We look forward to your further feedback. Best regards, Fanni
