semi bridle / crownpiece with cheekpiece Spanish style. Vegetable tanned cowhide leather with black burnished buckles. Hand sewn in Spain. Leather color: Brown.
Reduced to the essentials, the semi bridle provides a particularly minimalist look on the horse's head. With traditional black burnished buckles, which are lined with leather at the cheek piece so that they do not come to rest directly on the horse's skin.
The semi bridle is used especially in academic horsemanship. It can also be used as a spare part, for example to extend an existing snaffle bridle to a double bridle. The semi bridle is also perfectly suited for the additional buckling of a bit during cavesson work.
The Spanish semi bridle is handmade in Spain. Made of brown vegetable-tanned cowhide with black burnished buckles.

Care instructions for burnished iron
Rust forms on traditional burnished products or product components after some time. This is due to natural oxidation processes and is not a quality defect, but an essential and desired characteristic of this material. To maintain the dark color, it is recommended to occasionally rub the parts concerned with a cloth soaked in olive oil.

Gómez
The history of the Guarnicionería Gómez
The Guarnicionería (saddlery) Gómez is a family business with a long tradition and over 100 years of history. In Arzuá, a small town in the north of Spain and one of the last stops on the Way of St. James before Santiago de Compostela, Gómez has been developing and producing equipment for Iberian equestrian sports since 1909. The company values of Gómez also reflect the recipe for success with which Gómez has managed to establish itself as a strong brand in the equestrian scene. With a healthy mixture of tradition and innovation, high-quality products are created with painstaking craftsmanship that inspire riders throughout Spain and Portugal.
Bridles, cavessons and girths for the Iberian riding style
Gómez produces mainly leather products for the classical Iberian riding styles. These include the Alta Escuela, the Iberian High School and the Doma Vaquera. The latter is a working riding style that is closely associated with cattle breeding and has also established itself as a tournament discipline in Germany.
At Picadera you will find selected leather goods produced by Gómez in Spain, such as bridles, cavessons, cavessons, halters, girths, Stirrups- and spur straps. The products of Gómez use all high-quality cowhide leather from Spanish production.
Beautiful bridle - unfortunately I have to send it back because it is too big and a bit too bulky for our small head, but it makes a good, high-quality impression. (I have a Quarter mare with a rather petite head, but the proportions are certainly well suited to a normal "Spaniard" size or Full ).
