Description
Spanish snaffle in traditional Vaquero style
A classic Vaquero bridle through and through: the browband is equipped with the typical Mosquero - the decorative leather fringes, which also serve as fly protection. In addition, the piñas, the pine cone-shaped applications made of leather, as well as the colour-contrasting decorative stitching make it an eye-catcher. The noseband traditionally runs through the bit straps of the bridle. The throatlatch, which is usually functionless anyway, is omitted from the Spanish snaffle - for as little leather as possible on the horse's head. Due to the circumferential crownpiece, with only one separate cheek piece, the bridle also manages with a minimum of buckles. The buckles are underlaid with leather so that they do not rest directly on the horse's skin.
Includes smooth leather reins with sliding leather loop. The reins are flat stitched at the end, with a fixed leather loop, as well as piñas and decorative stitching.
The Spanish bridle is handmade in Spain. Made of brown, vegetable-tanned cowhide with black buckles of burnished iron. Without throatlatch.

Care instructions for burnished iron
Rust forms on traditional burnished products or product components after some time. This is due to natural oxidation processes and is not a quality defect, but an essential characteristic of this material. To maintain the dark color, it is recommended to occasionally rub the parts in question with a cloth soaked in olive oil.

The history of the Guarnicionería Gómez
The Guarnicionería (saddlery) Gómez is a family business with a long tradition and over 100 years of history. In Arzuá, a small town in the north of Spain and one of the last stops on the Way of St. James before Santiago de Compostela, Gómez has been developing and producing equipment for Iberian equestrian sports since 1909. The company values of Gómez also reflect the recipe for success with which Gómez has managed to establish itself as a strong brand in the equestrian scene. With a healthy mixture of tradition and innovation, high-quality products are created with painstaking craftsmanship that inspire riders throughout Spain and Portugal.
Bridles, cavessons and girths for the Iberian riding style
Gómez produces mainly leather products for the classical Iberian riding styles. These include the Alta Escuela, the Iberian High School and the Doma Vaquera. The latter is a working riding style that is closely associated with cattle breeding and has also established itself as a tournament discipline in Germany.
At Picadera you will find selected leather goods produced by Gómez in Spain, such as bridles, cavessons, cavessons, halters, girths, Stirrups- and spur straps. The products of Gómez use all high-quality cowhide leather from Spanish production.
