Description
Kimblewick ported stainless steel
Uxeter Kimblewick or jumping curb bit made of stainless steel with ported mouthpiece with low port. Bit thickness 14 mm.
Many horses like the ported mouthpiece because it lies evenly on the tongue and is cushioned by it. The low port of the bit relieves the middle of the tongue.
Delivery includes curb chain. Before using the Kimblewick for the first time, it is advisable to check the angle of the curb chain hook . Depending on the horse's anatomy, it may be necessary to bend them slightly with pliers so that the open side of the hooks does not touch the horse when taking the reins.

Effect of the bit
A special feature of the Uxeter Kimblewick is that the D-rings of the bit are additionally equipped with two slots for attaching the reins. In this way, the bar effect or the leverage effect of the bit can be emphasised, as desired. Likewise, the reins can be fixed in the D-ring so that they can move flexibly in the ring. This results in a flexible action: if the horse is above the rein, the rein slides further down in the D-ring and the leverage effect is increased. If the horse's head is in too low a position, the rein slides further up and increases the snaffle effect of the Kimblewick. Thus the bit facilitates the correction of the horse's head and neck position.
