In the style of the classic Spanish Curb Bit, this bit is characterized by a rotating, i.e. turnable, mouthpiece . This is particularly helpful for very sensitive horses and horses with leaning problems, as they can rotate the mouthpiece flexibly in the mouth and position it as required.

Our training curb horses have a comparatively long upper beam which ensures a particularly stable position of the bit . In addition, the Curb Bit only has minimal leverage due to the 1:1.2 side piece ratio. An additional rein can be buckled into the curb bit eye directly on the mouthpiece . This makes the bit suitable for riding with two pairs of reins, as well as for slowly switching to one-handed reins.

The anatomically shaped Mullen Mouth ported mouthpiece , optimized by Lopez, is readily accepted by many horses. It has a very even position on the tongue and is cushioned by it. Horses with very thick and fleshy tongues in particular benefit from the full-length curved mouthpiece.

Due to natural oxidation processes and the formation of noble rust, the burnished iron tastes sweet and stimulates the horse's salivation.

The foam stirrup at the end of the shanks prevents very mouth-active horses from catching the reins with their lips. It also ensures that the reins do not get caught in the lower bars. The foam stirrup gives the entire bit stability and great balance - for precise action and a calm position.

Care instructions for burnished iron

Rust forms on traditional, burnished products or product components after some time. This is caused by natural oxidation processes and is not a quality defect, but an essential and desired characteristic of this material. To maintain the dark color, it is advisable to occasionally rub the affected parts with a cloth soaked in olive oil.
